  • This Mr Gan is so silly…he just admitted they are isolating FWs with symptoms in the dormitories without testing @2:44 . If this is not considered reduced Covid 19 testing than what is? Is the government trying to play around with words to make them look good?

  • Dun always compare no of tests with other countries. More importantly why reactive and ignorant actions when the virus first exploded? Why don't you compare to New Zealand and her proactive PM? go and compare. Nz is also an island. So please dun always give shitty comparisons. Go compare with nz.

  • Malaysia down to 40 today. Six straight days below 100. While we had foreign worker clusters, nothing on scale of Singapore. Let the Govt do its job and keep the comments positive. .

  • Any news on why the MOH suspends an officer who alleaged leaked number of new coronavirus cases in Singapore?

What happened to him/her? Is the officer being detained or silenced like what happened to whistleblowers in China?

Is the number leaked different from what the Government announced?

  • The government workers are doing their best to contain it. I am just glad about it. We should do our part as a citizen or migrant here. We breathe the same air with one common invisible enemy. We will thrive as one!

  • I'm glad that the testing capacity will be extended rather than 3,000.
Some people kpbp think everything stop, seems like at least 600-1k+ only positive for COVID 19 out of 3k

  • The problem is that testing is a reactive measure that eats too much of time. The virus will always be steps ahead if you focus in testing and thats why it will result into a consistent spread. The month of May will be critical as people are bored and their stockpile will deplete while buying of supply is getting harder due to restrictions imposed by govt. Soon people will become desperate and hope that chaos wont emerge.

  • If assuming an average 3,000 migrant workers are tested daily and an average of about 800 (27%) are affected, do we finally arrived at around 50,000 (200,000 x 27%) confirmed infected cases after all migrant workers are tested?

  • Can advise what kind of test kits are being used? Method and mechanism etc.

Based on my understanding, testing accuracy for kits are about 60-70%.

What are we doing to address that accuracy?

So far, what are the data/stats for the contact tracing.
E.g. were there any cases that was previously tested negative but subsequently diagnosed with the virus?

I feel that this is a situation where we need to be technocratic. Why are ministers doing the reporting so frequently and CNA only "interview" some random person for their opinion. Is the task force empowering our brilliant minds in the scientific and medical field to lead this war?
Seems like all the news is about "management" related updates. Keep reminding people to do their part. We want to know what part the task force is actually doing etc.

Why isn't someone out to explain what SG knows so far from a medical/scientific stand point?

Citizens are educated leh, you send us all to study so hard. Give us some proper educated update on the crisis please.
Personally I feel more of the above updates can really booster confidence in the public especially from qualified people.

  • I am seeing serious conditions arise from international travel that is a job and/or passion. Migration workers will be in danger. Should not exist to begin with. Smaller farms spread out. 7 acreage for plants trees etc and 1000 meat farms excluding poultry. Poultry is 1 acre farms max 150 chickens?(maybe more or less depending on chicken). Studying roosters.
